Megan Tu, Lumiere Eyecare, Family Optometrist in Wentworth Point

Dr Megan Tu - Optometrist and Managing Director

Megan graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Optometry with First Class Honours. She has received awards for optometry, ocular therapeutics and contact lenses. Having worked in both regional and metropolitan areas, she has experience in a wide range of demographics. Children’s vision, myopia control, vision therapy and ocular pathology are particular interest areas for Megan. She is qualified to prescribe ophthalmic medicines to manage eye diseases. Megan has also published in peer reviewed journals. Megan is a member of Optometry Australia, Young Optometrists (Founding Member, Past Secretary) and The Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists. Languages spoken are: English, Cantonese, basic Mandarin.

Wilson Luu, Lumiere Eyecare, Family Optometrist in Wentworth Point

Dr Wilson Luu - Optometrist and Managing Director

Wilson graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Optometry (Hons) and received an award in research. Wilson completed his PhD at the Centre for Eye Health (UNSW), researching the use of virtual reality in assessing vision. Since graduating, Wilson has worked in both corporate and independent optometry practices in rural NSW and metropolitan Sydney and has travelled overseas to provide eye care to the Nepalese Everest community. He is qualified to prescribe ophthalmic medicines to manage eye diseases. He is a Credentialed Optometrist (Aviation) and is authorised to conduct eye assessments for CASA. His interest areas are low vision, myopia control, contact lenses, ocular pathology and use of artificial intelligence and technology in eye care. He was a Lecturer, Clinic Convenor and Supervisor at the UNSW School of Optometry and Vision Science. He is involved in research at UNSW, is a Review Editor in Frontiers in Neuro-Ophthalmology and has published in both national and international peer reviewed journals. Wilson is a member of the Cornea and Contact Lens Society of Australia, Optometry Australia and Young Optometrists (Past Chairperson). Languages spoken are: English, Teochew, Vietnamese.

Megan and Wilson are both passionate about teaching and have worked as clinical supervisors at the University of New South Wales Optometry Clinic. They have both provided lectures and educational events for colleagues and enjoy mentoring optometry and medical students.
